Avarie’s Angels
Avarie’s Angels is the charity arm of Paw Haven Puppies. This charity was formed to honor our daughter Avarie who passed in 2008. We, the Pearson Family, took our hardest trial and desired to see good come out of it. What originally started as a charity that aimed to ease the burdens of families in a similar situation to our own, blossomed into a charity that is anxiously engaged in good causes. Avarie’s Angels encompasses magnifying works of love and sacrifice wherever opportunities arise and wherever our hearts are implored. We love and miss you Avarie!
Eagle Condor Humanitarian
We always knew we wanted to do charity work in Peru. We also knew we wanted it to be a water project and wanted to do something with a school. We never would have guessed how large an impact it would turn into.
Through Avarie’s Angels we were able to assist building a bathroom for a school, build community greenhouses for gardens, and help deliver goods to an orphanage and hospital in Poroy and Cusco.
We brought running water into the over 450 family homes in Ocutuan, Peru. For the first time in over 400 years since the village was settled, these families could experience the joy and hygienic benefits of running water.
We were also able to bring a self-reliance program for months to the villagers which offered income as well as sustenance. These wonderful people, most of which illiterate, are amazing farmers and artisans who just needed guidance to use their skills. They were provided livestock and also experienced training that helped their women to create goals and use their weaving to gain income.
Today, the people of Ocutuan are thriving, support their own families and contribute to their community.
As of Spring/Summer of 2020, the Covid-19 virus swept across the Peruvian villages. Many have been without proper medical care and even hope. Those infected with the virus lacked even basic fever-reducing medication. Avarie’s Angels’ donations helped to provide Eagle Condor some of those basic necessities.
The people of Peru taught us that there are no strangers, only family. We consider it a privilege to partner with Eagle Condor. The work must go on. Paw Haven Puppies appreciates you helping to make it happen!
Little Valley Adopt A Village
Brought to our attention by a neighbor and friend, this charity is the collaborative efforts of our home neighborhood to assist villages in Africa, specifically in Uganda.
This charity has been able to provide ongoing relief for various needs. This has included school supplies such as desks and uniforms for children, much needed self sustainability items such as harvesting tools, seeds for planting, and livestock, teaching women work skills and providing supplies, bringing Christmas gifts to the children, and constructing a clean water source for the people of the Nasuti village.
In light of the Covid-19 outbreak, many parents became unable to work and as a result numerous children were abandoned over the span of many villages.  Those parents that did stay and the children that remained with them began to experience malnutrition and illness. Little Valley Adopt A Village and Avarie’s Angels stepped up to assist with food and needed items.
Both charities are assisting to ease the burdens of these and other needs that are ongoing. Paw Haven Puppies wishes to thank you from the bottom of our hearts and paws for donations and patronage to bring answered prayers and blessings upon these villages.
